As per the NDIS guidelines, Sense Therapies requires two clear business days' notice for cancellations of scheduled therapy sessions. This means if you need to cancel an appointment, please notify us at least two full business days before your scheduled session time.
For example:
For a Monday appointment, please cancel by COB on the Wednesday prior.
For a Wednesday appointment, please cancel by COB on the Friday prior.
Cancellation Requirement:
Monday: Cancel by COB on the Wednesday prior
Tuesday: Cancel by COB on the Thursday prior
Wednesday: Cancel by COB on the Friday prior
Thursday: Cancel by COB on the Monday prior
Friday: Cancel by COB on the Tuesday priorThis policy allows us to offer the session to another family who may be waiting for therapy and ensures our therapists' time is utilised effectively. If less than two clear business days' notice is provided, the NDIS Price Guide is to charge for the session. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we encourage you to discuss any specific concerns with our team.

An initial session at Sense Therapies, often referred to as your "Initial Onboarding Appointment," is the first formal meeting you'll have with our team when starting individual therapy services.
This session is specifically for parents/carers only; your child does not attend. This allows you to provide sensitive information and discuss your child's needs openly and comprehensively.
During this session, we typically focus on:
Gathering detailed information about your child's history, current needs, and your family's goals.
Allowing the therapist to gain a full understanding of your child's development and any challenges.
Discussing our therapy process, what you can expect, and answering any questions you may have.
Collaboratively setting initial therapy goals and outlining a potential plan for your child's journey with us.
It's a crucial step to ensure we can provide the most tailored, effective, and supportive care for your child.
